Almost more tart than sour, the marshmallow does a LOT for the flavor and if I’m not mistaken it helps raise the ABV significantly. I’m so excited to have a beer featuring chocolate that isn’t a stout that does it well, I think it really just supports the tart cherry and creamy marshmallow and gives this smooth almost lactose feeling to it. CAN ART??? Awesome.
with all that fruit it’s so silky smooth!!! Drekker!
This is a sour that tastes like an actual sundae. The nose is cherry and the body is all chocolate. The aftertaste is cherry chocolate ice cream. The beer is thick, but goes down smooth.
I just got into sours and Drekker has my hooked
Ordered from Tavour, 16 ounce can, chilled and poured into a hurricane. Look: Cherry colored, 1/4 finger size off white head that dissipated quickly leaving a light off white ring of foam around the glass and some fruit puree as we drank. Smell: Cherry up front, followed by chocolate and heavy marshmallow that hangs while it warmed. Taste: Big cherry up front, followed by marshmellow and chocolate that mesh together nicely. Slightly sour on the back palate. For a >7% ABV no booze and no bitter or hop notes. Trailing ends are marshmallow and vanilla. The Berliner base lingers on the very back, nice light malty note that make this crushable. Feel: Medium body, nice tickle of carbonation and sour notes that help the drinkability. Not syrupy but thick enough to qualify as a smoothy style. Overall, this is a nice addition to the Drekker smoothy Berliner style ale. We love Drekker creativity and this one is exactly as advertised. I could slam one or two of these on a hot day (its like 115 degrees outside so yeah). Cheers!
this was good, but I wasn’t as excited about the chocolate as I thought I might be.
A full, flavorful and thick taste. The hint of actual cherry[no syrupy flavor], that melts and blends into rich chocolaty taste. Rich, flavorful and delicious! Love IT and this brewery!
One of the best beers I’ve had. You could drink this as your dessert after a big fat steak. Tasted like a cherry Garcia icecream! So good
first sip makes you think it’s a stout when the chocolate hits, then the tart cherry gives delicious sweetness. I can’t say I noticed marshmallow but drinking this was fantastic. wish I bought 2.
Marshmallow, peachy, sour, sweet.
Super delicious! Tart cherry and creamy profile from the vanilla and lactose with just a hint of chocolate
Chocolate goodness in every sip
Light on the marshmallow flavor, but still very solid.
More please would buy ahain
Like a tootsie roll pop, in a good way
Like a tootsie roll pop, in a good way
Chocolatey creamy marshmallowy goodness!!! And a perfect hint of cherry tartness
Favorite series on Tavour!
I’m not a big fan of sours but I can definitely do these!
Perfect flavors of cherry and white chocolate. Super thick and perfect for sipping.
this was pretty good! expected a little more chocolate flavor and would’ve liked it to come through more. but otherwise was a decent sour!
Always love a good Chonk
Fruity, creamy, and heavy chocolate flavors. Throw it in the freezer for an unbeatable slushy
Tasty sour, chocolate was weak but still can taste it
Thick and delicious. Don't let the color fool you. The chocolate is real and it rests on marshmallow pillows.
so good one of my favorites so far
Amazing combination of flavors it reminds me of cherry chocolate covered Hershey's kisses! Tastes like desert, really loved this one!
Wow! great addition tot he Chonk! series. the cherries and sour against the hops. is good but then the marshmallow and chocolate wave around and make this a very enjoyable drink. keep up the experimentation! I bet there is quite a lot of chocolate but it is just enough IMO. solid but not overwhelming on any of the additives.
chocolate. cherry. mouth orgasm
nothing shines here
nice subtle chocolate flavor
chocolate really comes through.
fruity and amazing chocolate taste
was really good🥰😇
True to the name, this thing is loaded with cherries, marshmallow, and chocolate. Would drink 10 more if I had them
