Chocolate Covered Pretzel Milk Stout
WeldWerks Brewing Co.
A Note on This Beer
*Less than 20 cases left!*
Whenever I buy chocolate-covered pretzels, I’ll whip open the package, tell myself “I deserve this,” and eat the entirety of its salty-sweet goodness right there in the Safeway parking lot.
That said, you can only imagine my reaction to WeldWerks’ brand-new Chocolate Covered Pretzel Stout, stuffed with generous heaps of pretzels, milk sugar, and chocolate fudge.
After my first decadent swig, my mouth started to hurt, I smiled so big. It tastes just like my favorite ‘treating-myself’ snack, with a bright n’ boozy boost!
Wafts of creamy cocoa tickle the nose, as luscious swells of roasted caramel waltz along the taste buds. On the finish, a slight saltiness rounds out the sweetness of the milky chocolate and creamy milk sugar, enticing you in for another bite… er, sip.
I had to work HARD not to whip through my entire batch in one sitting. But, I think it’ll be quite the treat after a long work day! Because, say it with me: “I deserve this.”

Didn’t get a lot of pretzel flavor, but was still very yummy.
Love this! That first sip was just perfect!
A little bit on the salty side for me.
Not salt or pretzel, but tons of fudge.
Excellent!! Smooth and on point with the description! Dessert beer maybe. Wish I had more in my crate. This is one I will be looking out for.
Great tasting stout, very heavy chocolate notes with subtle salted pretzel
Nice desserty stout
Rich chocolate taste
So much chocolate flavor. A very good and easy drinking stout.
Nice smooth chocolate flavor, hard to get any of the pretzel out of it, so the title might seem a bit deceiving. Definitely on the sweet side.
This is no doubt a very fudgy, thick stout. Pretty sweet. And yes, the pretzel flavor comes through, especially on the last drops on the palette and aftertaste, like you just stuffed a bunch in your mouth.
Delicious! Def tasted the pretzels
Overall really good just a little too sweet for me.
Very smooth and easy to drink stout. Definitely a favorite!
So good! You can definitely taste the pretzel!
Taste like a chocolate pretzel, lovely little dessert
Chocolate pretzel for sure
chocolate and slightly salty. Enjoyable
Very tasty chocolate and caramel notes at the start with a slight salty flavor at the end. Very smooth.
More thick and chocolate not much pretzel
Exactly what it says. Smooth taste. Great desert beer.
Not my favorite weldwerks stout.
Wow, wow, wow. Fudge all over the palate and a pretzel-coca finish.
Creamy, sweet but not too sweet, a solid stout
Heavy on the dark chocolate with a hint of salty pretzel. Smooth, easy drinking stout.
Tasty and as described.
Milk Stout! Rich. Creamy. Nice touch of salty pretzel this chocolaty stout! Drink it slowly and all to get to room temp to really appreciate this beauty!
Another fine beer by welwerks. Not going to lie the fact that the pretzel flavor was so forward was what made me love this beer.
Not much chocolate or salty (pretzel) flavor. Meh
Nice chocolate flavor, hard to get pretzels out of it and just a bit to sweet for my liking
If beer and Yoo-hoo had a baby.
Chilled and poured into an imperial pint glass. Look: dark brownish almost black. Small finger and a half tan head that dissipates to zero very quickly. No lacing at all. 2 minutes into drinking and it looks like colored water. Smell: sweet, processed baking chocolate (we took out some hot fudge from our fridge, the processed Hershey’s stuff... like that but really light), roasted and malty. Almost get some notes of booze, but it is only 6.4%, so... Taste: sweet on the front end, roast in the middle (very mild), trailing notes of chocolate fudge, roasted chocolate malts and very flight vanilla... Bren gets a hint of salty pretzel but too far a stretch for me... Feel: pretty light, light tickle carbonation that dies quickly, no booze or drying like some stouts... thin for a stout. Bren had high hopes because we like stouts, she loves chocolate and I like pretzels... together with a sweet milk stout that is labeled chocolate covered pretzel stout we thought that maybe this could be a good one... but its kind of meh... drinkable for a stout but don’t expect what they advertised. Cheers!
Love the chocolate and coffee taste. Thick
Beautifully decadent with notes of chocolate, coffee, and malt. If I find this again I will be buying many, many more.
expected a lot better
