About This Beer
To pay tribute to their 9000th batch of beer, the brewers started with an English Barleywine style base, then aged it for 16 months in 10-15 year old bourbon barrels. And they balanced all those malty flavors with a measured addition of Cascade and East Kent Golding Hops.
Tasting Notes
Look for bold flavors of caramel and toffee accentuated by touches of vanilla, cola, and candied dates. Nuances of top shelf whiskey should add a touch of warmth to the finish, gently hinting at the big 14.7% ABV.
