A Note on This Beer
Fremont’s epic annual release is the stuff of legend among the #BarleywineIsLife crowd. The 2020, 2021, and 2022 releases all earned 4.40+ scores on Untappd!
And 2023’s 4.47 Rated Brew 7000 is set to match that acclaim, with one lucky taster calling it “as close to perfect as you could get!”
Created in Celebration of the Seattle brewery’s 7000th batch of beer, this extraordinary bottle should be every bit as good as its predecessors. You’ll discover massively malty notes of date, fig, and toffee, along with hints of oaky vanilla and whiskey caramel from 16 months of aging in 10-15 year old bourbon barrels.
The long, lingering finish brings nuances of honey drizzled toast, with barely a trace of the 13.9% ABV.
Does it live truly up to the incredible reputation of the series? Heck, it might even surpass expectations! But if you want to know for sure, there’s only one way to find out.
Rated 4.47 on Untappd!
