Weird. So much maple. Not very sour. Not bad, but interesting.
Didn’t wow me as much as I expected. Strong maple flavor present but in a weird way....not something I’d seek out again
Not the worst but not the best. The maple syrup flavor really lingers.
Could taste all the flavors
Refreshing with hints of orange and maple syrup
Actual breakfast! Like a better mimosa
Dusty/hazy/cloudy orange, cinnamon/orange/strawberries aromas, cinnamon and vanilla with a tart finish, medium effervescence
Order this one from Tavour, chilled and poured into a pint glass. Look: Gold, cloudy, looks like a wheat beer, small head and no lacing lingering on the glass. Smell: Maple up front, cinnamon, fruit, and a bit of wheat malt. Taste: Maple up front, followed by some sour fruity notes, trailing vanilla. Feel: Sour, light and refreshing. There is lactose in this so I expected a medium mouthfeel, but not very full. Nice tickle of carbonation, but it dissipates quickly. Interesting beer. It is called “Breakfast in Bed” and so a sour beer with maple, cinnamon and wheat is unique for the name. The sour is subtle, the maple subtle and the spices all subtle enough to make this a weak balanced, slightly sour maple beer. Basically it tastes like eating pancakes with maple syrup and strawberries! Yumm! Cheers everyone!
Literally tasted like breakfast in my mouth. Beers like this are why I love this app.
A little too heavy on the maple flavoring.
Tastes of bready malts, cinnamon, maple, and a bit of strawberry. What a strange beer. The sour is offset by the sweetness of the maple and the cinnamon spice. This is one of the most unique beers I've had in a while but I don't know if it's good. I guess I wouldn't turn another one down, but I don't think I will be in any rush to have it again either.
We were so happy we had two of these- the first beer with this concept that I thought actually got it right.
One of my favorites. Last night we ordered Vietnamese bowls. Mine was a ginger barbacoa and this beer paired so well it was like the two were siblings. Worth noting is that somehow they mastered sour and sweet in the same can. I need more of this.
Probably the one I was most excited about in my shipment of around 40 beers. Initial tasting is immediately a strong maple syrup and strawberry cinnamon vanilla aftertaste with a sour finish. Unfortunately after about halfway through the can your tastebuds acclimate and it just tastes like a sour with some slight sweetness. Nevertheless preety dam good and better than I expected.
Really enjoyed this one, I’m always taken aback by how much maple syrup is in the scent, super sweet!
I can see why they call it Breakfast in Bed. It starts with a nice tang of the strawberry and then finishes like maple syrup pancakes.
This beer has a great maple aroma that aids much in the way of character to the strawberry and vanilla flavor. Definitely an enjoyable novelty.
If you’re looking for a breakfast beer, this is the one. I wouldn’t drink this all night, but a nice way to start my afternoon. Nice hint of maple.
Tastes like a cider, full of flavor
Solid beverage but nothing special lil fruity and a lil spices but nice body flavor
Definitely taste the maple syrup; not a bad thing, but very interesting. Good breakfast beer.
Awesome beer, blueberry waffle taste. Maple is very upfront but in an appreciable way.
This was way better than I actually expected it to be
Maple syrup flavor helps but the rest clashes with the sour and leaves you wanting breakfast elsewhere.
Taste like strawberry pancakes with syrup
Smells exactly like maple syrup! On the initial taste it’s like biting into a giant fresh juicy strawberry followed by a maple syrup after taste. The vanilla and lactose give it a nice thickness and somewhat dull the sourness.
Very different, maple comes through strong, not thick, absolutely love this beer, will but all 6 if it comes on my tavour agian.
Well balanced, its impressive that they can make the maple so balanced and still taste the strawberry natural flavor through and through. It tastes a bit like a strawberry stuffed french toast.
Interesting combo of fruit and maple
Read what the beer is called and you nailed it. Taste like maple syrup flavored bacon. Drink this with a full breakfast in the morning and it would be a perfect complement. Not sure I would have it any other time but, it was perfect for a brunch time brew.
Wanted more sweetness
Surprisingly delicious. Was skeptical about how sweet it could possibly be but loved it. Not too sweet, nicely balanced!
Maple and goldengrams flavor
So many flavors, I can't tell if I like it or not. Refreshing, yet complicated.
Really nice strawberry pancake flavor overall. A little heavy on the maple syrup, but great for a brunch or with some fruit.
You get all flavors on this one
Nice and light , easy drinker
Very interesting beer, lots going on but still well balanced.
Smelled like maple syrup and strawberries. Tasted like if that was the flavor of a seltzer / mineral water with a slight sour ale background. Overall, meh.
I'm not a sour fan but definitely the best. Like the name says breakfast in bed. Very cool they got that taste into it.
OMG.... tastes like a pancake with strawberries on top. Might be one of the best beers I've ever sipped on in my life. And there have been 100s.i wish I would've ordered more. Words don't do it justice. This is written after one sip
Maple cinnamon breakfast beer. So, so good.
More milk sugar and strawberry would have been preferred but overall a good drink!
Surprising experience, fragrant maple syrup nose, toasty cinnamon pancake taste and tart strawberry finish. Very cool beer to drink!
Strawberry and maple syrup goodness.
At first I thought it was funky tasting, but the more I sipped the more I liked it. Tastes like pancakes with lots of syrup and strawberries on top. Complex and enjoyable
The cinnamon in this one is amazing !
Just not for me. It’s a nice novelty, but the sweetness or impression thereof from the maple syrup doesn’t make me want a second one. Sorry, but if it calls itself a Berliner Weisse and I don’t want a second and maybe even a third, that beer has failed. Admittedly, that’s a matter of tastes, but it’s my truth.
A bit too much all over the place for me. Maple definitely was the dominant flavor to me
Tastes like breakfast! Maple, strawberry and the wheat really make it taste like a stack of pancakes with strawberries
Excellent. Strawberry pancakes.
Strong maple flavor up front with tart strawberry on the back. Tastes like pancakes with syrup and strawberries.
This tasted of strawberries vreakfast spice/maple and was very good
So I'm little worried I might turn into a blueberry now. It's basically a breakfast and beer version of the magic chewing gum from Willy Wonka. I really taste all of the flavors. Maple is dominant but not so much that it overpowers everything else
Very unique taste. Exactly as described
The sour caught me off guard due to the tartness but it was evened out with a sweet maple flavor. The best was the first get swigs and then you lose the sweetness. I would try it again for sure
Tasty and tart. A mixture of flavors like strawberry, vanilla and cinnamon. Can’t really taste the wheat though.
Like. Not love. Though some may find this to be a favorite, I don’t think this would find its way into my regular rotation. That being said—it was absolutely a pleasant experience, and one that has encouraged me to foray further into this profile of beer. It is a perfectly titled brew, in that this thing felt like a meal to drink. Aspects of strawberry smoothie helped provide a tart and sour undertone, that brought foundation and balance to this otherwise hectic formula. The syrup and cinnamon were subtle, but there, and helped provide a nice mouthfeel. Clean aftertaste, and a wonderfully sour finish that kept encouraging me to drink more. I don’t know if I’d ever seek this one out again—but I certainly wouldn’t turn it down. Interesting brew. We need more like it.
literally tastes like breakfast in bed
every flavor comes out in this beer
