Not a fan. Didn't get a coconut nor brown sugar taste.
Great beer but could use some more coconut
I did not taste any coconut but i enjoyed it very much
Could of tasted a little more like coconut. Still this was a decent beer with that classic brown ale taste.
Too blan and bitter
Ordered from Tavour, a pint can, 5.5ABV, chilled and poured into an imperial pint glass. Look: dark brown, light tan head with thick bubbles that went away entirely. Left no lacing as we drank Smell: roasted malt, trace of bitter, some sweetness, but no coconut and no discernible brown sugar as described on the can Taste: roasted barley, trace sweetness, a little bitter on the back palate. No coconut we could get and no brown sugar. Really just a toasty brown ale for us Feel: pretty light feel, nice tickle of carbonation that hangs while it warmed in the glass We ordered this because it is from Braxton Labs and we have had a couple of their small batch dark stuff that was pretty good. This one was a “meh” beer. It was a crisp and toasty brown that had no discernible coconut or brown sugar. If you want a crisp brown go for it... if you want creative coconut sugar goodness, skip this one. Cheers everyone!
Good for a brown ale but couldn’t detect coconut or brown sugar at all.
I didn’t taste any coconut or brown sugar, this just taste like regular beer
Definitely nice and roasted but very little coconut. But still a good drink.
Subtle coconut- great roasty flavor
Just good ale. Very light on the coconut.
Its alright. Nothing special at all.
Eh it’s not bad. Can’t really taste the coconut at all.
Disappointing...not much coconut
Lacking in flavor. A bit of a let down unfortunately
A decent brown ale, but it doesn’t taste like coconut or brown sugar.
Tasty brown ale with hints of coconut and brown sugar
Like everyone else.. ok brown, can't taste the coconut or brown sugar, so disappointed
Not much coconut flavor at all but a very tasty Ale. Crisp and flavorful for sure. Very good smell and very smooth
Good taste, barely noticed the coconut and it could've been 7.5 ABV but pretty decent.
One of those beers I'd want to enjoy sitting at the brewery crushing on draft
It was okay. Nothing special. Not bad, just not great.
Nice, easy drinking brown. Coconut is more subtle than expected.
It’s a fairly good ale, however I did not taste the brown sugar OR the coconut.
I’m not tasting much of the coconut but it’s still a great brown ale in spite of it
Not much coconut flavor, but otherwise a nice brown
Didn’t like it. I was expecting some coconut but could barely get a hint of it in the aftertaste. it reminded me of cold coffee after drinking some club soda. Bad batch maybe?
It’s a decent ale with ZERO hint of coconut or brown sugar. Last time I order anything from this brewery.
Didn’t get any coconut. Fizzy. Good brown ale.
The coconut is there, take a small sip and just enjoy it for a minute. Wish it had more coconut but what is there is very enjoyable. Definitely going to buy more next time.
Tastes like a brown ale. I didn't taste any coconut or brown sugar.
Brown ale is my favorite style so I was very disappointed with this offering. No coconut aroma and definitely no coconut taste whatsoever. This is basically an average brown ale you can get anywhere. Boo!
Nice brown but no coconut
Malting and sweet
Not enough coconut.
Needs more coconut but overall good
You can definitely taste the brown sugar, but it isn’t necessarily sweet. You can vaguely taste coconut but only if you search for the flavor. I wish it had more of an coconut flavor but it’s really good.
Too much roast. Was almost burnt tasting. It overpowered the coconut. Not overly sour. Reviewed live at Twitch.tv/BrewedforGaming
Very mild but tasty.
Good brown ale done in classic English style. Coconut is very light all around.
Easy going toasty Brown Ale. Minimal Coconut flavor but crisp and refreshing. Not bad.
Very good roasty, nutty, clean brown ale... but no detectable coconut to me except for a mild vanilla cream on the finish. Meh
Not as coconut-y as I thought but still a solid ale!
Hint of sweetness to the brown ale but didn’t get any coconut
Good, nice soft taste
Mostly just a brown ale. Didn’t get a lot of coconut
Light coconut flavor. Easy drinking brown.
3.53/5 look: 4 | smell: 3.5 | taste: 3.5 | feel: 3.5 | overall: 3.5 Poured from a 16 ounce can into a tulip glass. Look- Deep brown, frothy medium tan head, average head retention, below average lacing. Smell- Coconut, sweet, ginger, toffee. Taste- Earthy, ginger, coffee, toffee, slightly sweet finish. Feel- Medium body, average carbonation, low bitterness, astringent finish, creamy. Overall- Malty, earthy, slightly sweet beer.
Comforting mild but flavorful brown ale
A nice brown ale, but I can’t taste any coconut and that is disappointing.
Not my favorite brown ale, but bas a good flavor wish it had more coconut
a great daily drinker.
