Braxton Labs Blood Orange Gose
Braxton Brewing Company
A Note on This Beer
The rare times I don’t order craft beer with brunch, I go for a few bright and refreshing spritzers.
But today, I found the best of both worlds! Braxton Brewing has a brand new, small-batch Blood Orange Gose that tastes just like a sparkling bellini — champagne, a splash of fresh-squeezed OJ, and a lightly salted rim!
They summoned the OJ goodness by packing more than 28 lbs of Blood Orange puree into each barrel — then, they added salt and coriander to amp up the flavor!
Here’s the thing though: Braxton only made 15 barrels of this brew, and it’s gonna go fast. Last time we shared one of their fruited Goses, you sourheads snatched up all the cans almost as fast as it took to puree the fruit!
So, nab a few cans quick! If you aren’t planning to drive to Kentucky RIGHT NOW, this may be your only chance to try this blood orange delight!

Tasty, bold flavors
It was good but not great.
Refreshing but it was a bit light
Too sour for me
Very tasty. Awesome citrus punch to the tastebuds.
A very good sour with a hint of sea salt and orange puree.
Tasty, but was hoping for more. Was too bland for my liking.
Gose is a brew style that requires an acquired taste pallet. Some people just aren't used to this style. But if you are an avid craft beer drinker, and have tried as many different styles as you can find, I think this was actually quite tasty. I could obviously taste the sea salt, but when poured in a glass after being in the freezer long enough to get a nice chill, I could really taste the blood orange. Was tasty, and refreshing. Great job to the brewers who put in their hard earned time and effort to create a one of a kind brew. 2 thumbs up. I would definitely order it again if I could....
All I taste is salt! Not good!
The sea salt is far too dominant for me. Blood orange flavor is kinda bland.
