Took me to paradise... Bourbon. Balanced. Sweet. Smooth!
Very rich and flavorful.
Might be the blackest stout I have ever seen. Super rich and creamy - and yes very boozy. Wonderful!
Very boozy, very bourbon, light vanilla. Delicious, if you like bourbon.
Very strong and boozy which i like
I get it but not for me. Too thick and boozy, I think 3 sips is enough for me to get the flavor and move on. If you are in to this type of beer I’m sure you will love it, strong chocolate flavor with the bourbon
Boozy with a kick like a mule
Two sweet for me wasn’t want I want in a good stout
Wow. Like a shot of bourbon that nicely compliments a rich stout backbone
Pours jet black with a lot of chocolate on the nose. Faint coconut flavor. Mostly fudge vanilla & barrel flavor
Good barrel aged stout
Aroma hits you hard with sweet bourbon and lush vanilla beans. Flavor is bourbon, vanilla, and toasted coconut without being overly sweet. Great beer to savor for yourself of share with others.
If you don't like it I'll give you my address for shipping! One of the best I've ever had
This batch is lights out. Barrel forward
It’s Prairie, what else need to be said? This stout is solid and what I’ve come to expect from this brewery. Well crafted with a nice viscous body. Nose is vanilla malt and bourbon. Mouthfeel is creamy with the coconut and vanilla blending in nicely with the oak bourbon barrel. Perfect to enjoy by the fire with your favorite Robusto! This is in my top 10 for sure! Thank you Tavour!
Solid, should’ve picked up more
The boozy flavor is apparent up front. Dark notes of chocolate quickly follow. Definitely a slow sipper.
This is a great beer I wish I bought more
Superb taste from start to finish! Would recommend for a stout lover.
Love this beer. Coconut bomb!
Intense bourbon flavors complimented by dark chocolate and coconut
Strong coffee and noticeable bourbon taste with smooth mouthfeel. Not overly alcohol tasting which was surprising!
3rd time ordering this, and just as good as the first 2 times
Fantastic bourbon stout! Totally worth the money
One of my all time ba stouts and have blind tested this against some of the very best. Coconut bourbon combo is world class!
Chocolate mousse doused in bourbon. Fantastic!
Not bad, don’t get all the hype basic barrel aged nothing over the top
Amazing chocolate decadence wrapped in bourbon! Honestly one of the best beers I’ve ever had, no joke!
Just another day in paradise!
Prairie artisan can always be relied upon for a great barrel aged stout this is no exception
Incredible amounts of toasted coconut in a boozy stout base. Really delicious.
Easy bourbon sipping.
I want me some more of this! Can’t wait to taste my remaining bottle after some aging.
finally had this sucker. so dang good. thick mouthfeel with bourbon and caramel.
Truly a masterpiece! Strong aroma of cocoa and bourbon and all the flavors hit you with a velvety texture, definitely a beer you could sip all night. Wowowow!
The 2020 bottle of bourbon paradise wasn’t paradise but was definitely boozy and bourbon. Look: black with small head and no lacing. Smell: bourbon up front, with some hints of chocolate (more as it warms), trailing vanilla but no coconut. Taste: sweet, booze and bourbon up front. Bren says the ethanol mountain is almost too steep to climb to get to the backend flavors on this one, but as we let it warm, we got bourbon in the middle, hints of chocolate and trailing notes of vanilla. If we REAALLLLLLy reach we get coconut. Feel: sweet, thick, full mouthfeel. Let it hang around and swirl it in your mouth, breathe in through the nose and there is a light tickle of carbonation. No trail end drying which is interesting given the high ABV. I guess if you like boozy flavor and bourbon this would be a good beer for you. Being dark, stouty fans we were hoping for Prairie to hide the booze a bit, but alas, they got us again with a high ABV (tasting and by volume)... if you like high ABV Prairie beers (as they have a tendency to do) this beer is good... if you want the chocolate, vanilla and coconut to smack you in the face in a stouty way, stay away because the ABV will beat you back with a whip. Cheers!
Yes, boozy, but so much of all flavors are present. I liked that you had to be looking for the coconut with other flavors bold, but it was so absolutely positively there. Along with vanilla and chocolate. But bourbon, sweet bourbon, is foremost—it’s in the name. And this beer frames that bourbon so well. Truly excellent. Only wish I had ordered multiple bottles to age!
