About This Beer
This Dortmunder-style Lager is a tribute to the brash beers 19th century German coal miners would have chugged after a long day underground. After a 12 hour shift swinging a pickaxe, they wanted something incredibly refreshing, but also a little bolder, a little boozier, and a lot more flavorful.
Tasting Notes
A higher-gravity malt bill than a typical Lager gives big flavors of sourdough bread and drippy honey, while an extra large dose of hops creates layers of lemongrass and wildflower aromas to balance all those malty notes.
