Bistro Grande - Pumpkin Cobbler
Energy City Brewing
A Note on This Beer
Folks, the craft fans have spoken. I can’t even count the number of “best pumpkin beer ever” and “perfect pumpkin brew” reviews on Bistro Grande: Pumpkin Cobbler’s UT page.
To craft the “pumpkin beer other pumpkin beers aspire to be” (@Jared L.), the brewers at Energy City started with their Berliner Weisse base and added pumpkin, vanilla, and autumnal spices after fermentation.
What they created is everything you want in a cozy fall treat. Warm cinnamon and nutmeg flavors make this full-bodied “pumpkin pie in a glass” (@Rachel K. and @Nathan R.) taste just like the beloved seasonal dessert!
Light a fire in the fireplace, grab the chunkiest blanket you can find, turn on a scary movie, and join the ever-growing number of craft fans that are falling for this tasty treat.

Fantastic. Best pumpkin bear I ever had. Must buy.
Wow just wow they hit this one out of the park I made my wife try it first lol but I def wish I bought more of these
Energy City always taste and smells like melted candle wax :/
This was super thick. It almost looks like carrot or apricot juice, but was pretty tasty and smooth.
Incredible combination of flavors like melted pumpkin pie
Wow - this REALLY tastes like pumpkin! Truly, it's like drinking pumpkin pie!!
A little funky taste on this one. Can’t quite put a finger on it
OMG!!! It tastes like drinking a peach cobbler, but with pumpkin flavor! Absolutely Delicious!!!
Unreal. This is liquid pumpkin pie. Energy City has my attention!
This might be the thickest been I’ve ever drank. Incredible though.
Didn't know what to expect from this one.... But WOW!
Best pumpkin brew I have ever had!!!
Different wow amazing
Like drinking a pumpkin pie!
The pumpkin beer other pumpkin beers aspire to be
Pumpkin pie in a glass!
science has gone too far - this is like drinking a smoothie
Holy shit! Not normally a pumpkin beer guy but this is amazing! If enjoy a PSL you’ll enjoy this
Pretty damn tasty beer. It has some nice sour notes that play off of the pumpkin and spices that result in a creamy, pumpkin-y, basic af sour that is mega appropriate for the season. Stay spooky, friends.
This is maybe as close to drinking a glass of uncooked pumpkin pie filling as anyone’s ever gonna get. This beer actually has some flavor of pumpkin, though – not just the spices. Definitely for dessert beer fans, though. It’s rich and sweet.
This is a hole new level for me! Was expecting some flavor of course, but it really is a liquid cobbler. This is amazing! Can't wait to find something similar. Great job on this one for sure.
Daily Corona battle. Chilly fall day edition. Make sure and give this a good roll. Super thick, crazy good spice and fantastically sweet because it’s not too sweet. Literally like (semi) liquid cobbler. Delish.
thick, tasty, refreshing.
I had no idea what to expect on this one. But I really liked it. It’s got a strong pumpkin flavor to it, like a cross between a pumpkin muffin and an apple cobbler. Definitely the body of a Weisse Beer. Really tasty.
Hot damn this is so different from other pumpkin beer commodities. Excellent flavors, nothing feels artificial about it. Just make sure to roll the can beforehand and out all at once or you’ll end up with a thick muddy sediment on the bottom fo your can.
This was actually really good. Sweeter than expected. Put great pumpkin taste. Would definitely buy this again
OMG. This is beer?! You could've fooled me! With creamy notes of sweet pumpkin and gooey cobbler... Sweet baby Hercules, I never knew beer could taste this good. When you crack the can open the smell of a can of pureed pumpkin ready to go into a pumpkin pie slaps your nostrils in a way that you wouldn't believe. The only question I have is, can I have some more?
Best Pumpkin beer I’ve ever had. Like pie in a can.
I loved this. It was so thick. You have to swirl around the last if it a lot before pouring it all into a glass. The bottom likes to stay in the can. Its hard to get out but well worth the fight. Awesome awesome awesome. They need to make this and mix it with a chocolate stout.
I have it 3 stars because I know how much effort goes into these beers but way too sweet. Tasted like drinking pumpkin pie filling or a Thanksgiving candle. I honestly could not finish it. But I do feel the effort is always there but just my style of beer.
literally taste like your eating a pie!
Tastes great. The chunks at bottom might be a bit much though
This was thick, but tasty. On the sweeter side if you like that. Sweet pumpkin pie pureè. I would order again and again.
pumpkin cobbler for real so good a little thick at the end
Smooth and delicious! if you are a pumpkin pie lover, you’ll love this! Great pumpkin flavor with just the right amount of whipped cream
Thick and delicious blend of spices and pumpkin!
Tastes as advertised. Just like a Pumpkin Cobbler. Small amount of malt on the finish for a good beer flavor.
So thick and creamy. Was totally expecting a normal fruitier Berlinerweisse. Did not expect all this. so good!!!!
if you like pumpkin pie then this is the beer for you. it's like pumpkin pie in a can. delicious. definitely on the sweet side. also make sure you roll the can and when you pour it to get all the stuff out of the bottom. there was quite a bit of pumpkin goodness in the bottom of the can.
My first can of this beer was kinda bitter but the 2nd beer was off the hook! Reminded me of a pumpkin purée. It was blended very well with different baking spices that gave it a relatable taste for this time of the year.
never got mine.
More like a cocktail than beer. Tried swishing the can prior to the pour. Didn't help. Contents had separated into a berliner weisse and pumpkin concentrate. Had to be stirred. Tasted artificial. Not for me.
Pumkin, cinnamon sweetness.
Thick and creamy with good pumpkin flavor all through
This is a delicious pumpkin beer. one of my favorites.
smooth and delicious
This is a fantastic beer! Just don’t forget it’s a wheat, so you have to poor it like a wheat!!!
Pours surprisingly thick and creamy. Full, heady flavor, almost cider-like flavor. Loaded with sweet nutmeg and cinnamon of course, but also just a bit funky. Tart and musty, a nice seasonal that's different from the rest.
Soo sweet and syrupy with not enough spice to match.
Delicious, sweet pumpkin dessert beer. Extremely thick, almost too much (even with swirling around some stuff was left in can, by the time I finished drinking it there was sediment on bottom of glass. Regardless, this was delicious and I wish I had more than two.
pumpkin all the way
fruity and sweetly warm
not my favorite pumpkin beer. too sweet and pours much too think imo.
holy pumpkin purée. this bad boy is thicc
I loved the spice added to this brew but kind of tasted like yam beer instead of pumpkin
This is definitely a dessert beer. It’s sweet and creamy with great flavor of autumn spices. Really like this one!
