Anytime I’m tasked with making dessert, Aunt Sally’s Apple Crumble is my go-to. It’s a crowd favorite! 

Just like she did, I stuff each pan full of freshly sliced Granny Smith apples, sprinkled with a medley of spicy cinnamon, nutmeg, and granulated sugar. Then, I dust the crumble topping with brown sugar and a drizzle of organic honey!

Needless to say, when I whip up some of Sally’s famous treat, it goes fast! Considering the staggeringly similar fruit flavors swirling in today’s Bistro Grande Apple Cranberry Crumble, I wouldn’t be surprised if our stash vanished at the same rate.  

To make their batch of beer-crumble, the Energy City brewers jammed this Berliner Weisse with fresh apples, cranberries, cinnamon, and brown sugar. 

It seems craft fans are resonating with all that true-to-the-dessert flavor: @Chris C. admits, “When I give a rare 5 score, I feel the beer simply is the best it could be, leaving no room for improvement. This is one of them. Perfect nose, body, flavor.”

If you’re going to share your stash with someone, make sure you choose them wisely! Just like my aunt’s crumble, this dessert delicacy deserves to be savored amongst those who will appreciate and enjoy it most.
