About This Beer
Crafted with an (almost) ludicrous amount of dark roasted caramel and chocolate malts, BBVD is as dense and rich in cocoa-goodness as a fudge-drizzled Devil’s Food Cake.
Tasting Notes
Notes of espresso-soaked raisins and fudgy dark chocolate ripple throughout every velvety sip. But be warned, this treat comes with a boozy 12% ABV trick!

Rich, creamy and a toasted marshmallow like head pour!

for as big as it is, it’s surprisingly smooth. nothing crazy, just a good old Russian Imp. Stout.

tasty! very smooth

slightly light, flavor lacking

Dark and roasty up front, as it warms up more and more chocolate and coffee coming through. Not boozy for the ABV, but leaving a nice warm feeling.

Smooth, dark, and rich. No particular notes stood out, although I wish it had been sweeter.

really solid stout. nothing overly fancy

Smooth Imperial Stout, not boozy tasting, slight caramel flavor. Easy drinking.

Nearly opaque black brown color. Small, frothy tan head. Sweet roasted malt aroma is subdued. Sweet roasted malt flavor upfront. Notes of brown sugar, chocolate and roasted nuts. A touch of vanilla sweetness and licorice on backend. 12% ABV is well hidden.

Good chocolate notes at the front mixed with dark fruits. Stout base is a little lighter than expected.
