About This Beer
Ever had a Bière de Mars? The name is French for “March Beer,” and old Belgian Lambic producers would brew it in late winter, then enjoy it during spring to break their cabin fever! If there’s an American brewery capable of nailing down the nuances of this old-world style, it’s Side Project — today’s Bière Du Nord proves it.
Tasting Notes
A dynamic malty character carries throughout the sip, conjuring notes of toasted biscuit kissed with honey, nuts, and caramel. Bright lemon zest nuances flitter around the edges, playing beautifully off the deeply funky barnyard undertones. Meanwhile, whispers of oaky tannins and vinous grape linger after the finish courtesy of wine barrel aging
