About This Beer
False Idol racked a smooth English-style Barleywine into cognac barrels. Twelve months later, it emerged with plenty of cask character and a warming 14% ABV.
Tasting Notes
Sweet layers of brown sugar, medjool date, and raisin swirl into hints of toasted marshmallow and oaky vanilla. Glimmers of black cherry and tobacco round out the back end, accentuating the cognac nuances.
