About This Beer
To craft this decadent sipper, the mixologists at Great Notion aged a Barleywine base in Russel’s Reserve bourbon barrels for two years for luxurious oak tones. Then they conditioned it on dried orange peel and cherries, giving the brew an old fashioned’s signature citrus and stone fruit nuances.
Tasting Notes
Wood and vanilla aromas waft through the air on every mahogany-hued pour. Currents of golden caramel and crème brûlée gorgeously blend with bright citrus on every quaff. Hints of dark fruit from the base mingle with rich cherry before a wave of whiskey on the finish.
