A Note on This Beer
Sad = when you fall in love with a beer, drink it all, and can’t get more.
Luckily, today we’re the bearers of happy news: we’re bringing back Aslan Brewing’s Batch 15 IPA for your drinking pleasure! We appreciate all the requests and thanks for sharing the fun stories about where and when you enjoyed this beer!
Mark from Cincinnati - if you’re reading this, hope that girl said yes to a second date. And we agree, coming clean about your IPA obsession right away is a solid idea - honesty first, always.
We gave you all the juicy deets last time we featured this beer, so forgive us for repeating ourselves:
While not its own official style (yet), this West Coast Hazy IPA is aggressively hopped with a distinct blend of Northwest hops to dial in peak juicy Citra fruitiness, piney Simcoe, mildly bitter Bravo, and a touch of spice from Chinook. The unfiltered body provides a cushion to smooth the bitterness and let the soft hop character shine through — it’ll have you crushing can after can.
Aromas of orange zest and freshly-cut grass rise from a golden orange cloudy pour. Candied pineapple, juicy mango, and bright grapefruit pulp glide across the palate, meeting floral pine and a slight hint of honey. Lush like orange marmalade infused with ripe tropical fruit, a drizzle of pine resin adds just the right amount of bitter earthiness on the finish.
Bellingham, WA is quickly becoming a hotbed for Washington craft beer, and Batch 15 is securing Aslan’s spot on the scene. With its soft hop character and smooth unfiltered mouthfeel, it delivers the crisp, juicy, and piney West Coast hop flavors we love in an approachable hazy IPA.
Thanks for being patient — now’s your chance to stock your fridge full of this crushable favorite. It’s been awhile but we couldn’t bear to see you so sad!
