About This Beer
To make it, the mad scientists at Equilibrium and their pals at Tripping Animals started with a big burly Stout base, then let it mature for 17 months in two select Taconic bourbon barrels. Then, after blending, they loaded it up with Emperor’s coconut, pistachios, Vanuatu vanilla, marshmallow, and coffee from Finca’s Coffee (one of Tripping Animal’s faves).
Beautiful mocha notes erupt for the inky black pour. Lip-smacking crème brûlée nuances ripple into decadent coconut cream and fluffy mallow. Rich nutty undertones carry through to the silky smooth finish, where it mingles with a touch of heat from the shockingly undetectable 14% ABV.
