About This Beer
Eighteen months of maturing in Weller bourbon barrels gave this boozy amber-colored brew tons of complexity.
Inhale aromas of rich molasses and dark fruit. A swirl of the glass releases flourishes of cherry and toffee on the nose.
Sip thoughtfully, and a symphony of maple, caramelized brown sugar, crème anglaise, and whiskey-soaked plums will come to life. And each chewy taste is likely to warm your belly with its tipsy 10.9% ABV.
Cellar an extra bottle to mellow the boozy heat in BA Brandywine (2022) and further refine the notes of caramelized date, burnt tobacco, and oaky vanilla.
Sweet Complex Rich Barrel Aged Boozy Warming
This is a very light colored and slightly lighter barleywine. But it still has a very balanced and bold flavor. It's flavor is uniquely complex with just the right amount of Weller notes.
Hoppy, caramel, malty & brown sugar.
taste of prune and dates with barrel aged flavor. underwhelming.
I was not impressed. I was actually disappointed. I could taste the prune. and I like them, but not in this sense!
smooth, malty, caramel and oak
a really tasty brew. would like a bit higher octane and a bit more ummmph for the $ but I’m happy
