About This Beer
The EQ team started by letting their cocoay, Stout base rest in Taconic and Willet barrels for 21 months. Then they churned in some toasted almonds, marshmallows, Madagascar vanilla, and lactose wrapping it all in the sumptuous flavor of an almond ice cream bar.
The brew pours a viscous pitch black with a mocha foam cap releasing nostalgically nutty aromas hinted with whiskey. The silky swig follows, nuances of vanilla oak and woody spice beautifully balancing the amaretto, creme brûlée, and chocolate tones. It really is like drinking a liquid almond ice cream bar, right down to the velvety finish — only this dessert hides a 14% ABV!
