About This Beer
To craft it, the Seattle crew blended a variety of Strong Ales barrel-aged 9, 12, and 24 months in eight to twelve-year-old bourbon barrels. Then, they aged it for two years, adding to the complexity and mellowing the 14% ABV until it’s smooth as melted dark chocolate and just as rich!
Each velvety sip courses with café opulence — a creamy dark chocolate mocha swirled with caramel and ribbons of whiskey vanilla.
Dark Rich Barrel Aged Smooth Limited Release
Strong bourbon notes with chocolate and cinnamon, very delicious.
not as much barrel presence as im used to but still a tasty stout.
Once again Fremont delivers. Subtle notes of cinnamon and chocolate coming through with a refreshing bourbon backbone. This one is definitely a warmer. Get this!

It's da bomb!
Delicious! Did a b-bomb night and drank this one alongside a 2016. This one was tasty but a touch sweeter. Aging works wonders with this beer.
Very good but not great.
what’s to say?! winter ale aged in bourbon barrels from 2019… 🔥
Nice combination of chocolate and whiskey blended with the base strong ale.
