The cinnamon flavor is phenomenal. But it's a little too sweet for me, so I can't drink more than half a glass at a time.
Tasted like root beer to me. Bitter, sweet, and spicy.
Ordered from Tavour in a 500 mL bottle, chilled and poured into an imperial pint glass Look: dark, almost black, small 1/4 sized finger tan head that dissipated completely leaching no lacing. Thick looking with some dark notes hanging to the glass as we drank Smell: sweet roast, cinnamon, dark chocolate, almost some pastry notes (like a roasted sweet roll) Taste: sweet, roast up front with some pasty notes in the middle... cinnamon on the back end with trailing notes of vanilla. THe cardamom is well blended and adds to the mid palate richness and spice. The booze is in the nose as it trails off after the drink, especially as it warmed. The spices from the cinnamon and cardamom linger a while. Feel: full, almost syrupy like you would expect an imperial. No carbonation lingering as it warmed... almost drying for a thick beer... feel is not very satisfying We got this one in hopes of the vanilla nod chocolate notes. It is thick but not chewy like. Not super boozy, more sweet and spicy. For us we got sweet, roasty and chocolaty pastry. Interesting beer for sure. Cheers everyone!
This is straight pennies. Most metallic beer I’ve had in years. Straight drain pour :/
One thing I have been learning is to not judge a beer at first taste straight from a cold fridge. This beer needed to be at the right temp to enjoy the cinnamon and cardamom flavors. At fridge temp I got the metallic taste but after a little warning the cinnamon and cardamom flavors are vibrant. I feel these dominate but in a good way. I am sure the other additions help to balance the brew. The aroma is strong with cardamom and gives it a definitive earthiness. Overall a good combination flavors for a stout.
Great taste the cinnamon taste is a tule strong but good
Amazing spices at first taste with cinnamon and cardamom. Sweet and smooth vanilla and brown sugar makes this a very delicious brew.
Sometimes beer gets a little too dark and malty for me that I get a headache. This was the case. The cinnamon was a nice touch, though. However, I remedied that issue by pouring the rest over some vanilla ice cream. I don't feel I would buy this again.
Loved the cinnamon. Cardamom gave it a slight Smokey flavor that was a little off putting.
Very thick! Loved it
Decent spiced stout.
Very enjoyable for a 11% (rounded up). Not super thickly sweet like other stouts. Paired well with a coffee cheese. Better when very cold.
Incredible flavor... It tastes like cinnamon toast crunch if it were mixed with chocolate milk. Awesome, awesome beer, love it
Meh. Not up to their standards
Delivers as expected; cinnamon, cardamom, almond, vanilla. Smells like spiced Coca Cola.
Nice layer of spice in this one
Perfect beer to enjoy while watching the Padres get another win!
All the flavors that are described are definitely there. Very enjoyable.
Flavors are there but the beer is flat. Came out of the bottle with no head and has no real bite to it
A real miss that's weirdly oxidized
