All I See Is Carrion (2017)
Adroit Theory Brewing Company
A Note on This Beer
Adroit Theory summons a 12% ABV demon of cherry cordial liqueur in their brand new ‘All I See is Carrion’ Belgian Quad. This booze-soaked masterpiece is dripping with so much dark Bing Cherry essence, it should probably be renamed, ‘All I see is Cherries.’
Real cherry juice aligns with the dark fruit Quadrupel base to tear open a boozy abyss of molasses-coated tangy fruit. It’s like Ommegang’s legendary ‘Three Philosophers’ Quadrupel, but with even more cherries. Just released, it’s surging through Untappd with a 4.13 score -- but outside of Virginia, this is the only place you’ll find it.
A deep blood red pour in the glass immediately signals the cherries’ presence. Morello aromas spark the air like flambeed slices of Black Forest cake -- but once it hits your tongue, this Quad marks your soul. Medjool dates poached in bitter Italian Amaro slide across the palate, carrying along cocoa nibs and Cabernet-like spicy dryness.
Adroit Theory proves time and time again their prowess over the landscape, and anytime a new release hits our tasting table, everyone goes berserk. ‘All I See is Carrion’ dwells in this madness with intoxicatingly deep fruit flavor. But with only 3000 bottles in existence, you won’t see this Quad for long.
