A Note on This Beer
In The Amazing Spider-Man, scientists develop a serum to help amputees regenerate missing limbs. Head scientist Dr. Connors decides to test the serum on himself — and turns into a terrifying lizard-human!
Today’s delicious Double IPA, Abuse of Science, won’t turn you into a giant reptile with super-strength, but its massive 11% ABV may make you feel just as powerful! The mad brewing scientists at Destination Unknown pack this IPA with so much delicious hoppiness, craft fans often don’t notice the booze up front (muahahaha).
The brewers use earthy Cryo Simcoe in the whirlpool, then dry-hop with Cryo Citra, Galaxy, and Vic Secret Hops. Flavors of juicy peaches, ripe passionfruit, tart grapefruit, and invigorating pine abound in every sip!
This hazy science experiment combines Destination Unknown’s high ABV Abuse series with their lupulin-powered Science IPA series, for a boozy brew of super hero-like proportions!
Are you ready to delve into Abuse of Science? If so, proceed with caution — before this pioneering juicebomb jolts your senses into another dimension!
*Destination Unknown’s IPAs won two medals at the 2019 NY State Craft Beer Competition!

Wonderful aftertaste full of flavor. Sharing with a friend and his reaction says it all.
Awesome, first tavour beer!
Very tasty - it goes too 11!
Smoothest imperial I think I’ve ever had
Surprisingly smooth for an 11% ABV. Hoppy and citrusy with a slightly boozy finish.
Not for me.
Great tropical flavor . GOES DOWN SMOOTH. So smooth it'll get ya !
Really Enjoyed. Full of flavor.
Not sure how the brewers got 11% ABV to taste so smooth. Silky and powerful!
Solid DUBCO high ABV ipa
16 oz can from Tavour. Pale golden with a light haze, nice fluffy head, big clumpy lacing and lots of fine carbonation. Aroma is bready with light citrus notes. Taste is more the biscuit malts, light lemon peel zest, gentle bitterness. The feel is beautiful, thi\ck, creamy and exceptionally smooth for a beer of this potency. No sign of the ABV whatsoever.
A little over powering at first, but after third sip, very good... doesn't seem like an 11%...we liked it a lot
Tasty Danky Tropical A bit of a creeper. So watch out!
This ABUSE OF SCIENCE has taken me to a DESTINATION UNKNOWN, a mediocre IIPA.
Dank and smooth, easy drinking.
It would be so easy to drink too many of these at once!
Tastes like eating a juicy peach
