About This Beer
Georgetown originally made 9lb Porter for their friends at a dive bar down the street. The bar is called 9lb Hammer, and thanks to killer tunes, free pool, and bottomless peanuts, it has long been a Seattle institution. The beer proved too darn good to keep cooped up at just one bar, and has since become one of Georgetown’s staple offerings.
Tasting Notes
Roasty black coffee and dark chocolate aromas leap from pour, and the taste follows suit. Mocha flavors sprawl across the taste buds with every sip, while subtle nutty notes and a touch of earthy hops linger within the jet-black body.
