A Note on This Beer
For two years in a row, TRiNiTY’s award-winning calling card of wild and crazy adjuncts has landed them on Draft’s Magazine’s list of 25 best beers in the world. Now they’re finally turning their madness on dark beers.
You Never Even Call Me By My Name is an Imperial dark beer brewed with sarsaparilla, sassafras, coriander, hibiscus and cumin in a 12.2% ABV package. In the hands of this innovative brewery, these radical additions bring unique and welcome flavors to the Stout/Porter scene. They also explain why TRiNiTY is becoming a buzzword among craft beer enthusiasts across the country.
You Never will treat dark beer lovers to a textured display of roasted malts and exciting spices that pop all over the palate. A vibrant zing permeates the darkness as Saison yeast highlights the root beer of the sarsaparilla, the fennel in the sassafras and the boozy cranberry courtesy of the hibiscus. If you can, try to catch the invigorating notes of wintergreen that mingle on the periphery of lush chocolate malts – think toasty mug of minty hot cocoa with a dense wave of spice.
Unlike many other dark beers, You Never delivers a wealth of flavor without weighing you down – the ample ABV and effervescent mouthfeel promises a detailed and highly drinkable experience. You Never Call Me By My Name might technically be a Saison but as you’ll discover, this label is quite incidental.
