What We Brew In the Shadows
A Note on This Beer
*This bundle will ship IMMEDIATELY with all other beers in your crate.*
If you’ve crushed a seasonal Fresh Hop beer, you know all about the deliciously unique and versatile characteristics in these straight-from-the-farm cones.
To make a Fresh Hop beer, brewers must add the hops to the boil within 24 hours of harvest, making these beers a time-sensitive labor of love. The resulting sippers are well worth the effort — they brim with refreshingly herbaceous flavors and just a fraction of the typical bitterness. Plus, they're great for kicking up your feet and relaxing!
Today you have a shot at two Fresh Hop releases from Oregon’s Fresh Hop Brewer of the Year*!
“We went big during last year's Fresh Hop Season,” brewer/owner Dan Melech says, “but we're going even bigger this year!”
Huzzah to that! Take a peek at this delicious 2-pack of autumnal Fresh Hop goodness from these masters:
Hop It Don’t Drop It - Fresh Hop Hazy IPA (Simcoe Hops) - 6.2% ABV
This Fresh Hop Hazy sports a hop bill built for chillin’ and a label that screams “game night!” Whether you sip it at a LAN party or while playing a board game with friends, these luscious waves of passion fruit and blueberries soothe the palate in fruity bliss, without lingering bitterness. It’s a delectably crushable companion to keep by your side whilst conquering foes!
What We Brew in The Shadows - Fresh Hop Pilsner (Sterling Hops) - 4.9% ABV
If you’re looking for a lighter brew with a Fresh Hop fix, get a taste of this Pilsner! Sterling Hops give easy-going expressions of spice and hints of jasmine. German Malts create a smooth body, making this brew as crisp as it is quaffable. Sit back, kick your feet up, and binge your favorite show while sipping away!
Stock up on Stormbreaker’s releases before you let that crate close — or you’ll have to wait until spring for your next chance to chill out with these highly seasonal brews!
*Stormbreaker Brewing has earned the New School’s Oregon Fresh Hop Brewer of the Year, as well as awards from GABF, The US Open Beer Festival, The Oregon Beer Awards, and many more!

Clean and crisp, but just tastes like a normal German pilsner to me
9/8/21 NZ hops 💞 I’m unsure about this whole fresh hop thing, I’ve had quite a few now and the results aren’t conclusive. I will say that this is a solid Pils with beautiful hop expression. Bready body meets melon candy and unripe stone fruit.
I rather enjoyed this one. Not your average pilsner. The fresh hops stood out and made this very crushable. 🍻
weird after taste
Nice Pilsner, not much going on in the hop department.
wonderfully clean and crisp with some tropical fruit shining through.
