A Note on This Beer
-Kix Cereal Beer Represents Seattle Beer Week-
More and more craft fans have been asking where they can find a good Pilsner these days.
They’re talking to prideful Washingtonians here at Tavour, so the answer is definitely the Pacific Northwest.
We’ve got a long list of award-winning experts brewing the crispest style in craft, including the beer forum favorites Chuckanut, GABF Gold medalists Pfriem, and the godfathers of Northwest craft Deschutes.
So when the small-town Washington micro-brewers at Aslan won the competition and the honor to represent this year’s Seattle Beer Week with their Washington Gold Pilsner, it was a big freaking deal.
Washington is one of Thrillist’s Top 8 Best Beer States, and Seattle is its craft epicenter. And to add to the challenge, the flagship Beer Week brew is almost always an IPA. So for a little brewery from Bellingham to beat out over 400 other breweries with a Pilsner is an insane accomplishment!
To outshine all the hype-beers, Aslan created their Washington Gold with the scrumptious flavors of Kix Cereal!
It tastes like subtly-sweet kettle corn with a crisp, refreshing finish that leaves your palate clean and anxious for the next sip. It’s delicious — and we’ve never had a Pils quite like it before!
Today’s brew is good enough to represent as THE beer at Seattle Beer Week, and now it’s got our recommendation as well. So if you’re having trouble tracking down new killer Pilsners, here’s your solution. And if your friends come asking you for suggestions, now you have them covered too!
