Tennessee Whiskey Barrel Aged CocoNaughty (2019)
Westbrook Brewing Company
A Note on This Beer
Today, you have a chance to snag a bottle of Barrel-Aged CocoNaughty Stout — the very first Westbrook brew to rest in Jack Daniels Whiskey Barrels in over 7 years!
And, they don’t use ordinary JD barrels for CocoNaughty — these are Jack Daniels 150th Anniversary Whiskey Barrels!
And CocoNaughty ain’t no ordinary Stout, either. First, Westbrook adds loads of toasted coconut, toasted almonds, Madagascar vanilla beans, and two varieties of cacao nibs. Then, they age it in the Whiskey Barrels to add a woody, caramelly complexity to all those creamy layers of nutty decadence.
South Carolina Stout seekers agree that these barrels bring the brawn in CocoNaughty — those lucky enough to taste it give the melty, nutella-like brew an astonishing 4.31 rating on Untappd!
- “Coconutvanillacaramelnutty, thick, smooth, rich and pleasant. AKA the good stuff!” @Juha J.
- “This is amazing!!!! So much barrel with coconut. Thick. Great flavors. Westbrook is amazing!” @Tim
- “This beer is amazing. Strong whiskey start with a mellow Stout finish. This beer is a must have!” @Joshua S.
CocoNaughty’s jaw-dropping deliciousness is exactly why Westbrook earned a coveted spot on Vinepair’s Most Important Breweries of the 2010s. And since this bourbon-kissed delight is a brewery-only release, only a select group of people will ever get the chance to try it!
FYI — you’re one of ‘em.
