Sour On the Vine
A Note on This Beer
Originally released at the Great American Beer Festival, craft fans went ga-ga for MobCraft’s Frontenac grape-infused Sour on the Vine. Its unique jammy cherry and black currant-like character was so impressive, they decided to capture its magic, but only in an ultra-limited 700 bottle batch! Catch its grape lightning now, or wine about it later.
Aged in oak barrels for 12 months with Frontenac grapes, Sour on the Vine is an inventive craft beer vision of grape character. Forget the Pinot Noir -- serve Sour on the Vine with the meal instead. Its depths of cherry richness from the Frontenac grapes will hold up to any meat dish. The tartness from Lactobacillus and Brettanomyces make it an ideal palate cleanser between bites. Oak barrel-aging adds hints of vanilla sweetness and spice, while the ABV, half that of wine, makes it easy to have a second glass glass.
They’ve tackled cranberries. They’ve mastered raspberries. They’ve even captured pineapples. Now MobCraft turns their sites on locally grown Frontenac Grapes. THIS SUMMER, here comes high-class barrel-aged fruitiness in the form of Sour on the Vine.
