Rooted in Friendschip
White Rooster Farmhouse Brewery
A Note on This Beer
“2 of my favorite middle-of-nowhere Southern Illinois breweries collaborating on a Wild Ale? Sign me up. Would drink all night.” says @Dave W.
Dave’s talking about today’s beer - a limited collab from two of Sour’s hottest breweries with some of the most difficult to acquire brews. This is Rooted in Friendschip, a 16 month Oak Aged Saison brewed with earthy, orange-ginger turmeric spice from White Rooster and Scratch Brewing.
Think of a creamy, rustic, ginger-peach cobbler-like drinking experience, yum, just yum! Blending a sour, subtly funky portion of coolshipped beer with tumeric amps up the herbal spice intensity. 16 months of aging on neutral oak mellows out the spice and tartness, bringing balance to this barnyard of complex flavors.
“One of the best beers I’ve had. Rivals most Belgian Spon beers. Wonderfully made by two amazing breweries” says @Jesse F. one of the first few to have tried it on Untappd. You’re a lucky guy Jesse, this very limited brew is part of the only batch in existence!
“Damn...that's good. My 2 favorite breweries... hope there are many more collaborations in the future!” @Niles D.
Yeah Niles, we’re feeling the FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out) coming on for everyone who doesn’t get to try this limited brew. Men’s Journal calls Scratch Brewing America’s Coolest Microbrewery in Southern Illinois and White Rooster earns a 4.23 Untappd Rating - Rooted in Friendschip will be many Sour fans first and only chance to taste these guys in action.
