Roll Call: EC8
Gun Hill Brewing Company
A Note on This Beer
New York City’s Gun Hill Brewing stands out with hoppy beers that evoke ice cold treats. Their Soft Serve series brought the creamy into our hoplives, and now we’re getting some seriously crisp and fruity slushy vibes from their Roll Call: EC8 IPA.
Canned fresh on February 5th, Roll Call blasts summertime sensations of juicy frozen lemonade and mojitos in a smooth, East Coast cloudy, 7.5% ABV body.
Gun Hill packs their fruitbomb full of lemon zesty Sorachi Ace Hops, lime-like Motueka Hops, and the grapefruit and passionfruit essence of Citra Hops. Sorachi Ace comes right at you from the start, blasting you like a baseball stadium frozen lemonade vendor with tangy citrus flavors and a hint of grassy herbs. Motueka goes deep in the flavor, layering more fruit with touches of limes. Citra gives adds tropical notes at the backend as the smooth juice rides into a 7.5% ABV sunset.
Gun Hill entices Big Apple hopheads to their Bronx taproom with their East Coast IPA wonders, and we’re positively hooked on juicy beers like their Roll Call. This brew would feel right at home hooked up to a Slurpee machine at our local 7-11, or if you’re feeling fancy, one of those blended cocktails whipped up by a master mixologist.
Canned on 2/5/18
