Rinse/Repeat Mosaic and Amarillo
Westbrook Brewing Company
A Note on This Beer
My buddy Tom used to claim that the IPA “haze craze” wouldn’t last (he also once said that technology would never surpass the Microsoft Zune, so I’ll cut him some slack). Even as the hazy train picked up speed and traveled all over the country, Tom still wouldn’t get on board.
Since enjoying beer together is easier than making new friends, I introduced Tom to Westbrook Brewing’s 4+ UT-rated Rinse/Repeat New England IPA series. Okay, so maybe I told him it was a glass of OJ at first, but just one juicy sip was all Tom needed to change his tune!
Tom soon went around declaring that not only were hazies the way of the future but that nothing could get hazier than Westbrook’s beloved NE-style IPAs. He even started planning special trips to South Carolina just to get his unfiltered fix.
But then Thrillist’s Best Brewery in South Carolina kicked things up a notch with today’s Rinse/Repeat & Repeat Mosaic Amarillo, and Tom’s haze meter damn near exploded. You can’t even shine light through this 8.5% ABV Double IPA juice!
Lure your own haze-hesitant buddy in for a taste by explaining how Westbrook double dry-hopped it with both Mosaic and Amarillo Hops for tropical fruit explosions, and how its delightfully soft mouthfeel will awaken new taste sensations.
If you don’t drink it all right away by yourself, that is — this fresh-squeezed booze nectar positively drips with ripe mango, juicy blueberry, and bursts of orange citrus! Each pillowy sip quenches yet leaves your palate craving more after the flavor wave subsides.
Yeah, might want to grab several cans of this refreshing haze juice. Westbrook’s special-release juicebombs normally don’t leave South Carolina, but Tom thought it’d be a tragedy to deprive the rest of the country’s hopheads of Rinse/Repeat & Repeat. And I completely agree — that’s why I went to SC myself and smuggled a small stash across state lines!
I don’t want you to witness your own friends falling to the same tragedy of not dowsing their palates with some seriously lush Westbrook haze. So if anyone’s not already on the hazy train, go ahead and tell them it’s a glass of tropical juice. You won’t be far off.
This beer is too fresh n’ new for ratings!
