A Note on This Beer
The up-and-coming brewmasters at Denver’s Larimer Beer Company show us you don’t need a taproom to make a name for yourself in a city packed with famous breweries. They’re developing a cult following for innovative takes on classic beer recipes, and each release earns rave reviews on Untappd.
Now, they’ve conquered the hottest trend in craft beer – the hazy, juicy New England-style IPA – in The Regulators IPA: a tropical fruit smoothie triple dry-hopped with Mosaic, Citra, and Amarillo Hops with amplified citrus juiciness from lactose sugar.
This hoppy juicebomb bursts with bright tropical citrus, gliding smoothly over the palate from a skillful incorporation of lactose sugar. Luscious ripe papaya rises from a deep golden pour, tumbling into cantaloupe, Ruby Red grapefruit, and a touch of lime juice from Citra Hops. Raw oats and wheat boost the nectarous mouthfeel, along with juicy peach notes from Amarillo Hops. Tangerine peel from Mosaic Hops give this silky-smooth brew a slightly bitter finish.
Rare to find outside of Colorado and fueled with regional pride, each Larimer release is dedicated to a good cause -- they’re donating proceeds from The Regulators to support the Rocky Mountains National Park.
