Penguins On Planet X
Kings County Brewers Collective
A Note on This Beer
Craft brewing. The final frontier.
This weekend, I’m kickin’ back with old Star Trek episodes and a brand new elusive brew from Kings County Brewers Collective! With their masterfully crafted brews and frequent pop culture references, it’s easy to see why they’re Thrillist’s Best New Brewery in New York!
At 4.9% ABV, Penguins On Planet X is a refreshing sessionable sipper no matter what you’re marathoning this weekend. It’s so smoothly drinkable, I’m grabbing extra cans just so my buddies and I can blast off and go where no craft fan’s gone before!
Even if Star Wars or The X-Files is more your speed, you’ll still want to snag some extra cans. Once others see you with an ice-cold KCBC can, they’ll be on you like government agents on an alien just to steal a taste!
And who can blame them? KCBC brews never make it out of New York City — today’s beer is a rarer find than Captain Kirk keeping his shirt on in a space brawl!
Penguins’ easy going yellow haze comes from an unfiltered blend of Motueka and Amarillo Hops — each sip bursting with notes of pineapple, juicy mango, and grapefruit with hints of fresh lemon-lime citrus! Touches of flaked wheat and rye add another layer of depth and a pillowy mouthfeel.
I’ll let you discover what other tropical flavors are hiding in the depths of this forbidden planet, but you gotta grab it first. Once this KCBC brew is all beamed up, we don’t know if it’s ever coming back.
