A Note on This Beer
It’s time for a drunk history lesson. Today’s boozy Bourbon Barrel-Aged Old Ale is a rare find outside of Denmark. And it comes with a true story of a young man’s journey to become one of the most feared mob bodyguards in history.
His name was Patrizio The Persuasive Peacemaker, and he was strong, like this 10.5% ABV brew that was named after him. But also like today’s beer, he was incredibly smooth, his presence was so intimidating, he never had to shoot anything larger than a rat.
He was very handsome, but he was much more interested in target practice with the huge Colt Peacemaker he had inherited from his ex-cavalry grandad than chasing girls by the lake.
The dedication paid off, and he ended up as the personal bodyguard for legendary mobster Dario Daddano. Just the sight of Patrizio and his Peacemaker arriving in his grand Cadillac V8 would do the job – he never needed to shoot anyone.
Being intimidating wasn’t his only passion, Patrizio also had a love for craft beer. And that made it a natural choice for him to accept the position as Head of Security when his mob boss opened Daddano & Dadolnikov Brewing Co. in 1934. The first and, thanks to Patrizio, safest craft brewery in Chicago.
Today’s boozy brew is a homage to Patrizio. It’s for fans of bold, oaky vanilla-caramel bourbon flavor that could bring peace to any heated beer nerd debate.
It’s a taste of Amager brewing you’ll rarely get outside of Denmark. One that every fan of silky smooth boozy beer needs to try before they die.
