Imperial Pilsner TBD - Barrel & Flow Fest
Troegs Brewing Company
A Note on This Beer
WHOA. A 10.4% ABV Pilsner??
There’s something you don’t see every day! But what really makes this boozy Pils a unicorn amongst unicorns is the fact that it comes from a three-way superstar craft collab!
If you know East Coast beer, you probably know Troegs. For this awesome limited release, the pioneering Pennsylvania microbrewery shares the spotlight with two others that are breaking down barriers in their own right. Harris Family and Mack Brewing are two of the very first Black-owned breweries in the state!
With Dry-Hopped Imperial Pilsner, this PA power trio proves they’re at the forefront of the industry — and not just because of the massive ABV. The brewers revamp what you thought you knew about the Pilsner style by revving up the biscuity malt flavors and infusing the brew with citrusy hops!
It’s crisp and clean, yet positively brimming with flavor. Honey drizzled, freshly-baked bread presents itself in every sip, flowing into bursts of tangerine and lemon.
Wondering about that booze though? We’ll let early taster @Denzil take it from here:
“Strongest Pilsner I’ve ever had. Floral notes, little bit bready and clean. But yes, you can feel the strength.”
Like the can art? It’s a custom design by local Pennsylvania artist Tristan Bond, who fittingly lives by the saying, “Be Vibrant.”

You definitely know this is a big Pilsner, but it still has the refreshing crispness that a lot of imperial beers don’t have so you still get that Pilsner fresh taste. It is well balanced between the malt middle and crisp finish. the only thing I think it could use is just a little more hop profile. It is a good beer! Would recommend.
Not a pilsner fan, but this was one of the best I've ever had for the style, prost
Big Pilsner. Nice beer
sweet biscuit and floral hops.
fresh pilsner taste that’s a little heavier with some high ABV
must try even if not into Pilsners
this one surprised me I’m all the right ways. big but light sweet but not too much and very we’ll rounded.
pretty boozy. that’s about it.
tastes nothing like a Pilsner
Super boozy pilsner. Still has that crisp finish. strong flavors up front, but they don't linger very long. Very interesting beer; super unique.
Pours a nice golden hue. Floral, sweet aromas. You can tell this isn’t your average pils. Thick mouthfeel. Citrus from the dry hopping complements the malty notes, and the ABV lends a lot of sweetness. Very unique, strong brew.
Sweet from ABV Totally interesting for sure Unique for the style
Lite in the hops and easy to drink and boozy!
comparable to bum lagers
surprisingly light for the abv! clean, crisp, balanced, but still big.
very strong and dry
Bright, dry & bready.
wasn’t for me
Big flavor. Nice citrus note midway through. Very tasty.
