E9 Brewing Company
A Note on This Beer
Savvy beer drinkers from Tacoma, WA have lavished praise on Engine House No. 9’s Farmhouse Ales for years and now the brewery is becoming one the most awarded in the region. Just last month they won 9 medals at the Washington State Beer Awards, 4 for their Wild Ales, and they were crowned the best mid-sized brewery of all!
Come experience a pure vision of Engine House at their best with their wild-yeast-infused oak-barrel-aged Farmhouse Deux Saison.
Over the year it spends in oak barrels, Brettanomyces wild yeast develops tart lemon and apricot qualities as well as a luxuriant glaze of woodiness. Soft grassiness floats into mineral lambic-like clarity and elegance. Peppery rustic breadiness emerges toward the end of the glass as it twists around into the punchy flavors of a Farmhouse.
The first batch of this limited release beer was a megahit, prompting Engine House No. 9 to bring it back. This beloved special caged-and-corked beer from one of Washington State’s highest regarded brewers will make a treat for anyone who appreciates Wild Ales, Sours, or finer things in life.
