Rahr & Sons Brewing Co.
A Note on This Beer
Determined to find America’s best IPAs, Draft Magazine asked over 400 breweries to submit their hoppy hits. After several rounds of intense blind tastings, only 50 made the final cut -- and among those elite was Rahr & Sons Brewing Company’s super citrusy Dadgum IPA.
Ranked among hop classics like Cigar City and Trillium, Dadgum was a refreshing revelation to the judges who praised its tasty surge of lemon-soaked pine and fresh grass bite as “balanced and snappy.”
Rahr & Sons turned to two of craft’s fruitiest hops, Citra and Lemondrop, to bring bold swagger that uplifts this all-day IPA into one of the country’s best. Citra Hops sizzle throughout this brew, dropping beats of orangeade, fresh cut dandelion greens, and a kiss of resin. Lemondrops live up their name, dazzling with scents of just-zested meyer lemon peels and a juicy, lemonade-like mouthfeel. In other words, a perfect companion to pools, baseball, or even mowing the lawn.
IPAs face the toughest competition in craft as more than 25% of all beers bought in the country are of the hoppy persuasion -- and Dadgum came out on top. It’s not everyday you get to try one of the Top 50 IPAs in the country, but thanks to our connection with Rahr & Sons, now you can stock your fridge with the very best.
