A Note on This Beer
Harnessing the rarified method perfected in the world’s best champagnes, Snowdrift Cider Co.’s Cidermaker’s Reserve is one of the most complex Ciders you’ll ever taste: Layers of butterscotch glazed crabapples unfold through a bouquet of pears, spices, and crisp bubbles.
We don’t feature ciders very often, but with one taste of the Reserve’s unfathomable 8.3% ABV richness we knew we couldn’t pass this one up. Like a finely tuned Trappist Ale, Reserve showcases Ciders at their most decadent potential.
Snowdrift uses the methode champenoise (champagne method), a form of bottle conditioning, to inject white-wine crispness and refined fruitiness into the cider. Honeyed aromas steal through the air alongside orange blossoms and juicy golden delicious. Champagne-like bitterness hits your tongue, followed by caramel drizzles and the drying brisk tannins of crapapples.
Praised by Snowdrift as “the best of the best of our ciders,” Reserve certainly represents this cidery at their finest. Give this one a try now -- or cellar it and watch the champagne method transform the sweetness to into even further refinement.
