A Note on This Beer
The farmhouse masters at Blackberry Farms Brewery draw a line in the sand to remind us exactly what a true Saison tastes like in their new Boundary Saison.
It’s so exemplary, BeerAdvocate Magazine devoted a entire article to it in their November edition. “If you’re looking for a near perfect example of the style, hunt this Saison down,” says BeerAdvocate founder Jason Alström.
Boundary Saison gets its full-flavored authenticity from a house strain of Saison yeast from Blackberry Farms’s 4,200 acre farm estate. Five grains combine to shower it with rustic depth, while Hallertau Blanc and Citra Hops pile on crisp layers of fruit.
Aromas of spicy pears and white wine notes from the Hallertau Hops make a mesmerizing introduction. Toasted whole-wheat ciabatta bread springs to life on the palate, mingling with honeyed grape nectar. The ultra-dry Platonic ideal finish for a Saison seals the deal with a crisp, refreshment.
It’s easy to be confused about the true character of the style with the millions of Saisons that muddle the market. Get a tour of the Saison, showing how deep it’s flavor is supposed to be with Boundary Saison.
