A Note on This Beer
For those that don’t know, a “cuvée” is typically a blend of the best beer a brewery has to offer. So when a brewery calls one of their brews a cuvée, you know they mean business.
And when that brewery is Adroit Theory, whose dark beer always means business, you’re in for an extraordinary treat!
For Black Science VII, these dark beer alchemists merged a roasty Russian Imperial Stout, chewy Barleywine, and malty Wheatwine into an opulent elixir with layers of complexity. Then they conditioned the blend on toasted coconut, cacao nibs, macadamia nuts, Tahitian vanilla, freshly roasted coffee beans, and BBA maple syrup for even more decadence!
Each thick quaff tastes like an indulgent chocolate bar brimming with treacly caramel, creamy nougat, coffee liquor, and rich, candied nuts — all with a bold 14.5% ABV brewed in.
An Adroit Theory liquid dessert this astonishingly layered and delicious is poised to be one of the best beers of the year –– and it surely won’t last long!
