A Note on This Beer
Reuben’s says they are “just chuffed” to be the most award-winning brewery in Washington State’s beer-soaked history.
Hey, if I had over 275 medals from local AND national competitions, I’d be pretty chuffed, too!
Just as chuffed as I am with a bottle of today’s Barrel Aged Imperial Stout.
The brewers use a creamy, oat-forward malt recipe. The oats and malts bring a lovely smoothness to every sip, along with notes of cocoa and a silky mouthfeel.
Then, they rested this dark brew in 10 and 12-year bourbon barrels for over a year! That aging brings complex laces of vanilla and light smoke on the back end. Each taste is like a classy spoonful of bourbon glazed brown sugar mousse!
You can taste some of this decadence for yourself now, or cellar it for you and your mates to enjoy years down the road! I’m sure they’d all be chuffed by your generosity.
