This is a well done, but simple, barrel aged stout! It has a good smooth body with a pleasant depth that is similar to a typical oatmeal stout and a very enjoyable dark flavor with a tasty, faintly sweet, mild whisky barrel character to it.
Dark and boozy.
Absolutely loved this beer, can definitely taste the bourbon along with all the other flavors
Extremely Solid. Definitely one I'd like to get my hands on again in the future.
Dark and heavy - great beer to wrap up the night with
Good stout, but not great.
Delicious decadent full bodied stout. The barrel aging added lots of great flavor without adding any unnecessary ABV booziness. Also, great price point for what your getting.
Just enough barrel to make it noticeable, nice oaky tannin and whiskey to complement and cut the sweetness.
Best by 4/1/2024. I said do I wait? Fuxk no! My ex broke up with Me last time I had this so hopefully the wife doesn’t. It’s def a RIS oatmeal stout. Oaky stouty do me.
Excellent stout, not to sweet but extremely well balanced
Smooth Strong Oatmeal stout really tasty and flavorful!
Very tasty and smooth. The barrel aging was just right
Very thick and boozy. Smoke and chocolate on the palette. Its a bit much for me but it is a well made barrel aged imperial!
Much better from the bottle.
A stout that’s a stout. I’d buy again.
Smooth, dark, boozy
Took a few sips to get used to, feels heavier than 9.4% but maybe that's the barrel aging, I'm not usually a fan of barrel aged, and might not have got this one had I noticed, but it was good. As many others have mentioned, a very solid stout.
Good strong stout, solid flavor and powerful enough to finish after one.
For the ABV the barrel is quite present in a good way. The beer doesn’t really lack in any aspect, tastes exactly like an imperial oatmeal stout aged in whiskey barrels. Not sweet, nicely bitter and roasted Mouthfeel is smooth and not thin.
Barrel aged boozy oatmeal goodness. This is the first of many left that will be beers of mourning. Tavour can no longer deliver to my address due to the local carrier halting delivery of dank beer to my doorstep. 🍺😢
All of the rich and heavy with a rough punch of bitter that overpowers what should be a fine barrel aged stout.
Too sweet of a stout for my liking
Strong and roasty!
Liquid night. Darth Vader. Starbucks caramel whipped cream thing in your jack and coke glass. Bell pepper extract. Burnt toast.
Really really disappointed. I had high expectations. Flat. Zero head/carbonation. Maybe I got an off bottle? Or maybe having the box sitting at the hot ass local delivery warehouse for a week killed it @tavour
Pretty smooth, good barrel.
Textbook oatmeal barrel aged stout. Oak heavy, spicy, dark chocolate and coffee .
This was a good one
Wonderfully smooth, oat silky and sweet start, with a classic stout biting aftertaste
Very bourbon forward almost to overpowering everything else. Chocolate and caramel flavors are very subtle and mostly lost.
This was very WHISKEY forward. Wish it had been aged in bourbon barrels instead. Bitter, roasty, coffee-ish. Not my cuppa stout.
This is a solid 4 the BBA definitely helped kick it up a bit from the regular Boris but it’s still to thin to her above a 4 and lacks the depth in beers I have rated higher in this category
pretty good, boozy!
Not a fan. Tasted like bad whiskey to me.
I could go for a touch more bourbon character if I had to be super critical... But wow. What a phenomenal beer.
Rich, dark, and creamy. Whiskey notes on the nose. Oak is prominent on the palate with chocolate and more whiskey notes. Really nice stout.
Good RIS, BA not shining through
keep it warm and let it return the favor
Hell yeah. Great mouthfeel, great balance, a little smokey, awesome stuff
