Balling the Queen Imperial IPA
Tyranena Brewing Company
A Note on This Beer
Love Bell's HopSlam but don't have easy access to it? Us, too.
Buzzing with an 100 IBU swarm of citrus and dank hops drenched in sticky, honeyed resin, Tyranena Brewing Company’s Balling the Queen Imperial IPA is an excellent similar beer to tide you over during the HopSlam drought.
Amplifying booze to 9% ABV while boosting the beer’s resinous attitude, honey gives this limited edition hopbomb an onslaught of richness that Wisconsin hopheads can’t stop guzzling down.
Cascade, Simcoe, and Citra Hops sing through the aroma with a nectarous swag of peaches and nectarines, sliced with a citrusy kick of bitter oranges and spice. Honey intensifies the fruit character, deepening the sweetness with a sappy smack of resin. Magnum Hops slam the tongue with the bitter panache of 100 IBUs, while the honey softens the blow before a lingering pinch of herbaceous and grassy dankness.
Balling the Queen’s rabid fanbase compares this hopbomb to Bell’s famous Hopslam - some go even further and say it surpasses it. Part of the their bold and boozy Brewers Gone Wild Series, Tyranena crafts this limited edition DIPA whenever the mood strikes them. Incredibly flavorful and bold, this hoppy flight of the bumblebee won’t buzz around for long.
