Anybody Want A Peanut?
Verboten Brewing & Barrel Project
A Note on This Beer
We’ll admit that the idea that a beer could evoke the childhood nostalgia of eating a PB&J seems strange. But today’s Anybody Want A Peanut? from Verboten is filled with so much peanutty-raspberry goodness, we feel like calling in sick and spending the day catching up on our cartoons.
In Verboten’s GABF-winning hands, Anybody Want A Peanut is a delicate balance of rich nutty flavor and juicy tart fruit. Brewed with peanut flour and raspberry pureé, it’s that perfect flavor ratio of peanut butter to jam. And with a crushable 6.6% ABV, this is the ideal big kid snack for a lazy Saturday morning.
Peanut notes are light on the tongue and the finish drips with sweet and slightly tart berries. The Golden Ale base is clean and crisp — no more sticky peanut butter coated mouths! English Pale and Biscuit malts lend a toast-like quality to the brew, like a warm PB&J made with love, the only way Moms know how.
The first time Loveland, CO, locals tasted this limited-release brew, they went pea-nuts! Even after the last pint was drained, fans asked for this sweet treat again and again until Verboten decided to make Anybody Want A Peanut an annual brew. So go ahead and get stuck on the couch binging a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles marathon — we snagged a small stash and it’s about time for a snack.
