A Note on This Beer
In order to form a more perfect union of hops and malts, Avery Brewing Company picked up their mash rake, took to their brew kettle and called out, “Ale to the Chief!”
A limited release brewed once every four years, Ale to the Chief Imperial IPA’s bold hoppiness is sure to help us all get through the media circus of this election year. Tropical and citrusy, it’s dry-hopped with the most All-American of hops, Cascade.
Deep amber in color, breathe in the aroma of liberty: evergreen boughs and orange peel. Then prepare your palate for a bounty of flavor with tropical tones of papaya, guava, peaches and sweet pineapple. Avery even adds a touch of Honey Malt for a hint of sweetness that highlights this Imperial IPA with a boozy sting.
Just like their Maharaja, this Imperial IPA is beloved by hop-fans and likewise incredibly well rated. So as another smear-ad takes over the screen, take a sip of Avery’s Ale to the Chief and remember: in beer we trust.
